9/11 – The Firemans Story Documentary

The story of Bill Spades, the only one of the dozen men in his New York Fire Department unit to survive.
Documentary about the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives in the tragedy. It was heart-rending to hear the personal stories of these brave men who had the tag HERO thrust upon them.
We heard how the events of the day unfolded and how the command structure collapsed as the buildings came down. We later hear how the fame of being hailed a HERO helped some of the firefighters come crashing down in public.
