Plastic Surgery in Antiquity

Plastic surgery, considered a modern science, has roots in the mists of time and has been practiced since ancient times. Ancient civilizations of Egypt, India and Roman Empire used plastic surgery to change and reconstructed lips, ears or noses of those who could afford to pay such interventions.
This documentary shows how, using skin grafts from her forehead and cheeks, surgeons were ancient reconstruction operations. Father of plastic surgery is Indian Susruta, known for rhinoplasty done it.
