On the 26th of December 2004, the biggest earthquake to rock the earth in forty years struck 15 km off the coast of Indonesia. Told exclusively through the words and images of those who actually witnessed it, this film takes the viewer through the story of 'Tsunami 2004', the greatest natural disaster of modern times. Using computer graphics and with unique access to a wealth of amateur video-footage from those who experienced the tsunami from three different countries (Sri Lanka, Thailand and the Maldives), we tell epic tales of incredible escape and survival and of ordinary people saving countless lives with dramatic acts of bravery and heroism.
