Women Who Kill – Brigitte Harris (Castration and Killing of her Father)

Women Who Kill - Brigitte Harris (Castration and Killing of her Father) The woman who killed her abusive father after strangling and castrating him in 2007 was acquitted of murder. However,  she was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter, a verdict she immediately said she was happy with. The 28-year-old had told jurors that, after years of rape and physical abuse at her father’s hands, she was just trying to prevent him from abusing his two young granddaughters (her nieces), but not kill him

There’s a special time in every woman’s life when she snaps. Some even murder someone. The Oxygen Network helps you prepare for it on their real-life original crime show: ‘Snapped.’ This episode features the case of Brigitte Harris, who castrated and killed her father who sexually abused both her, and her sister Carleen, since the age of 3. Program includes comments by her lead lawyer Arthur Aidala and defense attorney Michael Cibella.
